Vulnerability of T2D β-cells. a and b show the INS expression of datasets 2 and 3, under the circumstances of various stresses. Healthy and T2D β-cells are colored green and magenta, respectively. The thresholds of 4 and 8 were used to determine different levels of oxidative stress, while the thresholds of 2 and 4 were employed to partition ER stress and death executioner caspases. These thresholds were determined by the expression levels of the genes. The bold dark lines indicate the median values. The extent and significance (* indicates p-value <0.05) of the difference between two groups are also provided in the figure. The percentage of difference on the top of each plot was calculated by using the median values of the two groups
