First GUI (’PeTTSy’). The graphic user interface provides an easy way for the user to run the simulation and perform sensitivity analysis for the models. Once the user has run at least one simulation, the results are saved and the user can access the time series (in this case labeled “DiurnalExperiment” for 12 hour light and 12 hour dark series and “CtsLightExperiment” for a model with lights permanently on). Plot of the time series is provided below, and the user can also plot variables separately, or as a 3D plot (by specifying the desired plot specifications in the Plotting subsection)
