The data are generated from 10 multivariate distributions (see Equation 1) with the following correlation structures and differential patterns.Twenty genes and four metabolites are drawn from each distribution (h = 1,...,9). Background genes (n = 820) and metabolites (m = 164) are simulated to be non-differential and without correlation, see distribution h = 0. In this work we consider r1 (0.2, 0.6) and r2 (0.1, 0.25) provided that r1 >r2.
