(B) The cumulative distribution functions (CDFs) of the expected and sample values are shown. This particular petal has more negative and positive active correlations to the 2D-DIGE targets than to the rest of the genes on the array. To assess the bimodality, β, of the data, we examine the area between the two CDFs, as well as the center of mass of this area.
